not to be confused with the will ferril vehicle of the same name, baumbach's snarky debut plays like a more-intentional (and therefore believable) film length dialogue heavy episode of dawson's creek. i was expecting a film about recent liberal arts school graduates depressed about their new lives to ring a bit more true than it did, but nonetheless i found this saturday viewing night thoroughly enjoyable.
