a comedy from the 1930s that actually made me laugh (and--shockingly--think); not a film i'd bother watching a second time in my life, but still truly fantastic. if the last musical number hadn't been so misplaced (or if it had been going during the credits even), i'd give this one a bit higher of a rating. still, a really solid movie.
classics scale: 6/10

PLEASE NOTE: there is a major difference between the scale with which modern movies are being judged and the "classics scale" with which the...well...good ones are being judged.
