PLEASE NOTE: there is a major difference between the scale with which modern movies are being judged and the "classics scale" with which the...well...good ones are being judged.

blade runner (scott, 1982)

a wholehearted disappointment--i was expecting this to be one of my favorites and it wasn't even close. i dugg the occasional scene here or there, but frankly i felt like the story never got really rolling, and none of the character relationships had any heart. the acting (for the most part) was terrible, and the scenes all felt like something out of (appropriately) a 1980s sci-fi mac computer game i used to play at my grandfather's. i'll give it the benefit of the doubt and say it's possible my disliking came from an external factor--not in the right mood (i think i was, however), bad setting watch it in (others i've loved were watched the exact same way), etc--but definitely a disappointment.

classics scale: 2/10
