the conversation (coppola, 1974)

wow. coppola's betwixt-godfather masterpiece works as a perfect departure from the two diagetic-information-flood based movies, using the absence of a story--and the ensuing search--to create an engaging, beautifully crafted film. just...wow.

on a side note, i think i'm going to put a picture of john cazale somewhere in the background of every film i ever make. he's quite the good luck charm, it seems.
