PLEASE NOTE: there is a major difference between the scale with which modern movies are being judged and the "classics scale" with which the...well...good ones are being judged.

the hangover (philips, 2009)

really good to see galifianakis get some main stream exposure; i just hope he doesn't get co-opted by 12-year-olds. good to see him playing basically the same character as he does in dog bites man (most of his non-absurd characters are fairly similar, but this one has the same name...). loved the wire shoutout by tyson, too (not sure this was intentional or me reading into it--and don't use wikipedia as proof, as i'm the one who added that). still, overall, good but not great. dragged on too long. had some insensative jokes. a fun summer romp, et al.

6.5/10
