revolutionary road (mendes, 2008)

there's a lot to write here, and i won't be writing all of it.
i was bored. i was not enjoying myself. i was frustrated. and then there was the breakfast scene--bobette's "worst-of-the-worst" (aren't you proud?).
it's a companion piece to american beauty: the pessimistic, mid/immediate-post bush era version. and it's fantastic.
