wow. for the first time, a stella member managed to create a wide audience film, while still infusing their humor. and it actually translated. 5 parts main stream, 4 parts state, 1 part stella. could this be the beginning of the revolution?
cristopher mintz plasse was fantastic (career post-superbad? yes. non-typecast career post-superbad? not so much. but that's not such a terrible thing). and bobb'e j thompson was unreal good.
without the stella'ness, it'd have been a fun, well done comedy. with the occasional stella/dog bites man/state/reno moment, it gets pushed up to a slighly higher level.
