A fantastic movie that is almost more timely now than it was then, COMING HOME provides a necessary and valuable reminder that our current wars are wrong for reasons other than the oft-discussed immorality of America's international political stances of late. The film is wonderfully crafted, with brilliant attention to detail (the background inclusion of the number 47 to represent camaraderie during different types of war [a play on the AK-47, I assume?]; the ongoing presence of televisions to remind us that what we're seeing is "like war," and not "war," etc), and five excellent performances that get to the essence of a deep, worthwhile script.
(^ha. get it?)

PLEASE NOTE: there is a major difference between the scale with which modern movies are being judged and the "classics scale" with which the...well...good ones are being judged.
