ninotchka (lubistch ,1939)

if green eggs and ham was a political love story, this would be it. fantastically directed, albeit with a bit of oddity at times, and hysterically acted (mainly by the three side characters, but by the two leads as well), the film, while not necessarily traditionally narrative, gives a picture of an era and tells an engaging story within.
