some like it hot (wilder, 1959)

granted, this movie is from a different time, and granted i am currently in day 1 of coffee withdrawal, but i felt--with the exception of tolerable performances by the two "male" leads--like i was watching a fairly well done play put on by a middle school special needs class. marilyn monroe in particular was horrendous; they should have roger rabbit'ed betty boop in monroe's place for a more tolerable alternative. she is beautiful, though. the last line was the only one to entice a chuckle out of me during the entire movie
